Australia's ASX says tech snag delays equities market open
[SYDNEY] Australian stock exchange ASX Ltd said on Monday a technical snag has caused a delay to the opening of the equities market.
"The opening of the equities market has been delayed due to an issue with a component that allows ASX to manage individual stocks," an ASX spokesman said in a email.
"ASX is working to rectify the issue and open the market in an orderly manner as soon as possible."
The ASX's normal operating hours are between 10am and 4pm local time.
