China: Shares higher in morning trade

[SHANGHAI] Chinese shares were higher on buying of financial and property stocks in morning trade on Tuesday, the last trading day before a week-long holiday for the Lunar New Year.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.45 per cent, or 14.57 points, to 3,236.93.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, climbed 0.42 per cent, or 6.67 points, to 1,606.72.
