China: Shares up in morning trade

[SHANGHAI] Chinese shares were higher in morning trade on Wednesday as bargain hunters picked up heavyweight financial plays that tumbled earlier in the week, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.58 per cent, or 18.40 points, to 3,191.45.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, climbed 0.40 per cent, or 5.91 points, to 1,482.75.
