Europe: London stocks hit new peak, Frankfurt and Paris sag

[LONDON] The London stock market touched yet another record high in initial deals on Tuesday, but Frankfurt and Paris drifted lower.
The British capital's benchmark FTSE 100 index reached a new pinnacle at 7,469.82 points. It later stood as 7,467.47, up 0.2 per cent compared with Monday's close.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.2 per cent to 12,787.69 points and the Paris CAC 40 recoiled 0.4 per cent to 5,398.15.
