Europe: Markets rise at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets advanced at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index gaining 0.3 per cent to 7,220.78 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index grew 0.2 per cent to 11,439.02 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.1 per cent to 5,312.70 compared with Tuesday's closing levels.
