Europe: Shares climb at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets rose at the open on Wednesday, as traders reacted to a batch of company earnings updates ahead of the Federal Reserve's latest policy statement.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.63 per cent to 6,596.47 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 won 0.67 per cent to 11,249.30 points and the CAC 40 in Paris advanced 0.58 per cent to 5,006.01 compared with Tuesday's close.
