Europe: Stock markets cede ground at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets declined in opening deals on Wednesday, after earlier losses in Asia.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index dipped nearly 0.1 per cent to 7,748.89 points compared with the closing level on Tuesday.
In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 index lost 0.3 per cent to 5,496.26 points and Frankfurt's DAX 30 also shed 0.3 per cent to 13,200.92.
