Europe: Stock markets dip at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets eased at the start of trading on Thursday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.3 per cent to 7,414.47 points awaiting key UK retail sales data.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 dropped 0.2 per cent to 12,236.60 points and the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.2 per cent to 5,164.54 compared with the close on Wednesday.
