Europe: Stock markets drop at open
[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets dropped at the start of trading on Thursday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.5 per cent to 7,584.87 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.5 per cent to 12,289.81 points and the Paris CAC 40 slid 0.4 per cent to 5,308.44 compared with Wednesday's closing levels.
