Europe: Stock markets drop at open

[LONDON] European stock markets opened lower on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.3 per cent at 7,303.99 points as Brexit uncertainty persisted ahead of a US interest rate decision.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index shed 0.7 per cent to 11,704.44 points and the Paris CAC 40 dipped 0.2 per cent at 5,417.21 compared with Tuesday's close.
