Europe: Stock markets fall at open

[LONDON] European stock markets fell at the start of trading on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.6 per cent at 7,144.09 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index lost 0.7 per cent to 11,716.55 points and the Paris CAC 40 retreated 0.7 per cent to 5,204.22 compared with Monday's closing levels.
