Europe: Stock markets open lower

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets retreated at the start of trading on Friday as investors awaited US jobs data.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index dropped 0.1 per cent to 7,186.48 points compared with the close on Thursday.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index slipped 0.2 per cent to 11,560.52 points and the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.3 per cent to 4,885.19.
