Europe: Stock markets rise at open
[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets rose at the start of trading on Monday, with London hitting a new record high at the open.
London's FTSE 100 climbed 0.4 per cent to 7,237.99 points as the benchmark index extended a record run higher that began ahead of the new year.
In the eurozone Monday, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index edged up 0.1 per cent to 11,606.89 points compared with Friday's close. The Paris CAC 40 won 0.1 per cent to 4,915.35.
