Europe: Stock markets slightly lower at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets fell slightly at the start of trading on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index slipping just under 0.1 per cent to 7,266.23 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.2 per cent to 11,920.90 points and the Paris CAC 40 slipped by 0.1 per cent to 4,886.51 compared with Thursday's close.
