Europe: Stock markets stable at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets steadied at the start of trading Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index flat at 7,189.73 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 dipped 0.2 per cent to 11,628.03 points and the Paris CAC 40 edged up 0.1 per cent to 4,829.68 compared with Friday's close.
