Europe: Stock markets waver at open
[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets were little changed at the open on Tuesday, but subsequently slipped lower with corporate earnings in the spotlight.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index opened up 0.23 per cent at 7,316.30 points, but subsequently fell back to show a loss of around 0.3 per cent.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 opened nearly 0.1 per cent lower at 11,817.97 points. And the Paris CAC 40 was little changed at 4,865.89 points at the open, but quickly slipped back to show a loss of 0.2 per cent compared with Monday's close.
