Europe: Stocks climb at open
[LONDON] European stock markets rose in initial trading on Tuesday, with London gaining ground after a long holiday weekend.
In initial deals, the British capital's benchmark FTSE 100 index inched up 0.2 per cent to 7,294.65 points, compared with the closing level on Friday.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 also added 0.2 per cent to 12,100.39 points and the Paris CAC 40 advanced 0.1 per cent to 5,343.30 compared with Monday's close.
