Europe: Stocks close mixed amid UK poll uncertainty
[PARIS] Europe's main stock markets closed mixed on Thursday as British voters went to the polls in a general election shrouded in uncertainty.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index dropped 0.67 per cent to close at 6,886.95 points as investors await results in a UK election expected to be the closest in a generation.
The CAC 40 in Paris slipped 0.29 per cent to 4,967.22 points, while the DAX in Frankfurt gained 0.51 per cent to 11,407.97 points.
