Europe: Stocks close sharply lower

[PARIS] Europe's main stock markets closed sharply lower on Friday, giving up at least half the gains of the day before.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index dropped 1.05 per cent to end the day at 6.501,14 points, while Frankfurt's DAX 30 per cent fell 1.92 per cent to 9.648.50 points and the CAC 40 in Paris lost 1.90 per cent to close at 4,178.07.
Milan's FTSE Mib index sank 3.27 percent to 18,177 points.
