[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets rebounded slightly at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index of top companies up 0.32 per cent at 6,724.35 points.

The CAC 40 in Paris climbed 0.38 per cent to 4,900.37 points and Frankfurt's DAX 30 increased 0.27 per cent compared with Tuesday's closing level to open at 11,531.55 points.

Stocks had crashed Tuesday, with the FTSE diving 2.52 per cent on increasing expectations that the US Federal Reserve will soon hike interest rates and following the release of more weak Chinese economic data, traders said.
