Europe: Stocks slip at open

[LONDON] European stock markets edged downwards in opening trade on Thursday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index 0.2 per cent lower at 7,457.21 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index dipped 0.1 per cent to 12,304.53 points, and the Paris CAC 40 also shed 0.1 per cent to 5,569.21 compared with Wednesday's close.
