Europe: Stocks slip at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets fell at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.6 per cent to 6,838.35 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 also lost 0.6 per cent to 10,531.14 points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.7 per cent to 4,389.17, compared with Tuesday's close.
