Europe: Stocks steady at open

[LONDON] European stock markets were steady at the start of trading on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.1 per cent to 6,938.38 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 fell 0.1 per cent to 11,170.18 points and the CAC 40 in Paris gained 0.1 per cent to 4,741.10 compared with the close on Thursday.
