HK, China: Shares end higher
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares ended higher Tuesday for a second successive day ahead of the release of Chinese economic data, shrugging off sharp losses last week.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.36 per cent, or 84.79 points, to close at 23,681.07.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 0.26 per cent, or 8.54 points, to 3,242.41. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.30 per cent, or 6.09 points, to end at 2,031.63.
