Hong Kong and Shanghai slide in early trade

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai were down in the opening minutes of trade Friday after US stocks finished slightly lower.
The Hang Seng Index was down 0.27 per cent, or 55.4 points, at 20,341.71.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.16 per cent, or 4.47 points, to 2,817.97, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.25 per cent, or 4.44 points, to 1,804.49.
