Hong Kong, China: Stocks open flat
[HONG KONG] Chinese shares were flat on Wednesday morning, with trading quiet in the penultimate session of the year after a positive lead from Wall Street overnight.
Hong Kong's benchmark Hang Seng Index edged down 8.98 points to 21,990.64 in opening deals, while the Shanghai Composite Index inched up 2.99 points to 3,566.73.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.14 per cent, or 3.27 points, to 2,333.63.
