Hong Kong: Energy stocks help Hong Kong market surge
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks jumped Thursday in line with solid gains in New York as energy firms were boosted by another surge in oil prices.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index climbed 1.82 per cent, or 385.94 points, to close at 21,622.25.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slid 0.66 per cent, or 19.69 points, to 2,952.89 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, dropped 1.23 per cent, or 22.98 points, to 1,848.53.
