Hong Kong, Shanghai: Shares end lower
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks started the week with a loss Monday, in line with a sell-off across Asian markets as investors await Donald Trump's speech to a joint session of Congress.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.17 per cent, or 40.65 points, to end at 23,925.05.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.76 per cent, or 24.77 points, to close at 3,228.66. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.58 per cent, or 11.61 points, to end at 1,988.77.
