Hong Kong, Shanghai: Shares extend losses in early trade

[HONG KONG] Shares fell at the beginning of trade in Hong Kong and Shanghai on Friday, extending the previous day's losses following a weak lead from New York and Europe.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong slipped 0.36 per cent, or 71.97 points, to 19,843.49.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.26 per cent, or 7.40 points, to 2,828.46, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.33 per cent, or 5.84 points, to 1,784.19.
