Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks close higher
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai both recorded solid gains Tuesday, tracking an Asia-wide rally fuelled by strong corporate earnings and economic data.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.79 per cent, or 216.24 points, to close at 27,540.23.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 0.60 per cent, or 19.61 points, to end at 3,292.64, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.18 per cent, or 3.37 points, to 1,882.47.
