Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks close lower
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks ended slightly lower Tuesday as investors trod cautiously ahead of a key Federal Reserve meeting that could shed light on US monetary policy.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong lost 0.08 per cent, or 19.59 points, to close at 23,530.86.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.10 per cent, or 3.05 points, to 3,023.00. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.06 per cent, or 1.23 points, to 2,000.06.
