Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks dip at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai shares slipped in the opening exchanges on Tuesday following recent healthy gains, while energy firms were hit by a hefty fall in oil prices.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong dipped 0.23 per cent, or 53.33 points, to 22,677.60.
And in Shanghai the benchmark composite index lost 0.78 per cent, or 25.50 points, to 3,262.16.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.75 per cent, or 14.08 points, to 1,873.20.
