Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks down at open

[CHINA] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks slipped in early trade Tuesday with energy firms taking another hit as oil prices turned downwards again after last week's rally.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index lost 0.56 per cent, or 109.05 points, to 19,486.45 soon after opening.

And in Shanghai, the benchmark composite index was marginally lower, dipping 0.87 points to 2,687.98, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged up 1.09 points to 1,673.00.
