Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks down at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks were down at the open on Thursday, tracking losses on Wall Street and in Europe and as the China market awaited fresh economic data.
The Hang Seng Index dropped 0.27 per cent, or 60.33 points, to 22,432.1.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.17 per cent, or 5.07 points, to 3,013.68 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.18 per cent, or 3.62 points, to 1,972.54.
