Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks extend gains at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks on Friday built on the week's advance but gains were tempered by profit-taking and unease about a lack of detail on tax reform and infrastructure spending in Donald Trump's budget.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.14 per cent, or 32.86 points, to 24,321.14.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 0.09 per cent, or 2.93 points, to 3,271.87 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was slightly higher, adding 0.84 points to 2,047.15.
