Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks extend losses to sixth day at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks slipped in the first few minutes of trade Thursday, extending a sell-off to six straight sessions, following more losses on Wall Street.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong fell 0.16 per cent, or 33.83 points, to 21,769.93.
In mainland China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.08 per cent or 2.63 points, to 3,469.81, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.09 per cent, or 1.90 points, to 2,212.31.
