[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares jumped 1.09 per cent on Monday following a strong US jobs report, while a pro-democracy protest that shut down parts of the city thinned out.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index gained 250.48 points to 23,315.04 by the close on turnover of HK$72.57 billion (S$12 billion).
