Hong Kong: Shares rise at open

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened higher Monday morning, in line with a broad regional advance and following sharp losses last week.

The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong added 0.59 per cent, or 117.07 points, to 19,836.36.

But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.37 per cent, or 10.33 points, to 2,816.78, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.30 per cent, or 5.39 points, to 1,778.94.
