Hong Kong: Stocks drop at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares fell at the open Monday, with investors spooked by a spike in coronavirus infections in the city that has forced the government to impose further containment measures.
The Hang Seng Index lost 0.28 per cent or 69.57 points to 25,019.60.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index jumped 0.93 per cent or 29.78 points to 3,243.91, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange rallied 1.24 per cent or 26.79 points to 2,185.73.
