Hong Kong: Stocks edge up at close
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks edged up Tuesday as investors pinned hopes on US-China trade talks and a tentative deal to avert a Washington shutdown.
The Hang Seng Index gained 0.10 per cent, or 27.49 points, to 28,171.33.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closed 0.68 per cent higher, or 17.99 points, to close at 2,671.89, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 1.20 per cent, or 16.21 points, to 1,364.15.
