Hong Kong: Stocks edge up at open on Tuesday
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares edged up in the first few minutes of trade Tuesday as investors picked up bargains following two days of losses, with technology firms enjoying a bounce.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.33 per cent, or 99.43 points, to 30,353.83.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched up 0.06 per cent, or 1.74 points, to 3,069.75 but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was slightly down, dipping 0.43 points to 1,763.77.
