Hong Kong: Stocks end 0.83% higher
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rose 0.83 per cent Thursday, in line with a regional rally and following a strong lead from Wall Street.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 220.21 points to close at 26,907.85 on turnover of HK$124.30 billion (US$16.04 billion).
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.32 percent, or 16.11 points, to 5,122.15 on turnover of 974.7 billion yuan (US$159 billion).
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 1.48 per cent, or 45.36 points, to 3,100.94 on turnover of 821.4 billion yuan.
