Hong Kong: Stocks end up, track US lead

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares ended slightly higher Wednesday following a positive lead from Wall Street as traders welcomed a better-than-expected jump in US economics growth in the third quarter.

The Hang Seng Index rose 0.23 per cent, or 52.70 points, to close at 22,789.77.

But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell one per cent, or 32.89 points, to 3,250.03 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.16 per cent, or 3.45 points, to 2,106.91.
