Hong Kong: Stocks extend gains at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares extended gains soon after opening on Tuesday, tracking another record finish on Wall Street on optimism US lawmakers will soon pass a massive US tax cut bill.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.42 per cent, or 122.85 points, to 29,173.26.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched down 0.06 per cent, or 1.90 points, to 3,266.02 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was 0.06 points higher, or 0.00 per cent, to 1,889.19.
