Hong Kong: Stocks extend gains at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares on Monday built on last week's rally, with investors tracking another record close on Wall Street after President Donald Trump's promise of a "phenomenal" tax plan to ramp up the US economy.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.38 per cent, or 90.46 points, to 23,665.44.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.07 per cent, or 2.29 points, to 3,198.99 but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, dipped 0.07 per cent, or 1.39 points, to 1,948.93.
