Hong Kong: Stocks extend week's rally at open

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rose in the first few minutes of trade Friday, pushing this week's rally to a fifth consecutive day following another record close on Wall Street.

    The Hang Seng Index added 0.27 per cent, or 70.51 points to 26,416.68 at the open.

    But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.19 per cent, or 6.13 points, to 3,212.03 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.17 per cent, or 3.17 points, to 1,885.53.
