Hong Kong: Stocks follow Wall St down at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened lower on Wednesday morning, in line with a broad Asian sell-off, following sharp losses on Wall Street as traders fret over the future of Donald Trump's economic agenda as he struggles to pass a key healthcare bill.
The Hang Seng index dipped 0.41 per cent, or 104.78 points, to 25,735.21.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.24 per cent, or 7.57 points, to 3,183.63, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, dropped 0.24 per cent, or 4.54 points, to 1,894.00.
