Hong Kong: Stocks open lower
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks edged down in the first few minutes of trade Tuesday, tracking losses on Wall Street and in Europe while traders cashed in profits after the previous day's gains.
The Hang Seng index dipped 0.40 per cent, or 91.06 points, to 22,739.51 in opening deals.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.24 per cent, or 7.77 points, to 3,269.23 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.21 per cent, or 4.38 points, to 2,122.44.
