Hong Kong: Stocks open lower after holiday

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares fell in the first few minutes of trade Friday, as investors returned from a one-day holiday to track losses on US and European markets.

The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.29 per cent, or 62.73 points, to 21,235.15.

Mainland Chinese markets were closed for a public holiday.
