[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rallied almost two percent soon after opening Tuesday, boosted by bargain buying after heavy losses in the previous two days, while worries over Donald Trump's trade tariff move last week abated.

The Hang Seng Index climbed 1.97 per cent, or 587.98 points, to 30,474.37.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.29 per cent, or 9.56 points, to 3,266.49 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, climbed 0.21 per cent, or 3.93 points, to 1,834.77.
